Anchored to Christ and His Kingdom

“I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.” - Samantha
For Christ & His Kingdom
The desire to be anchored to something is deep within all of us – to be driven by a purpose and rooted in hope. Over the last decade, Still Water Ministries has been anchored in faith, hope, and love, which come through a relationship with Jesus Christ as our Savior. We exist to share the opportunity to be anchored in such a way with everyone, to bring together the affluent and the underserved to experience this together. In faith, we have stepped out since 2001 to build a community anchored in love and trust. Now, the Lord is leading us to be anchored in a more tangible way to a property and facility where we can grow to the next level and be a part of God bringing His Kingdom to earth.

Still Water Christian Ministries
Still Water Ministries is a registered 501©3 non-profit organization. Founded in 2001, Still Water Ministries is designed to share the life changing truth of Jesus Christ through evangelistic and discipleship-focused initiatives. We seek to serve and impact impoverished areas across Texas, bridging the gap between different socio-economic lifestyles. We partner with the local body of Christ, working together to fulfill Christ’s call on the church to reach out to those in need, regardless of race, gender, or economic background, as local missionaries in Texas. SWM prayerfully strives to be Kingdom-minded in every movement of the ministry.
Still Water Camps

At this time, the major initiative of SWM is Still Water Camps – these are an array of Christ-centered sports, adventure, leadership and day camps and retreats reaching both the affluent and underserved youth and staff in regions across Texas, equipping them with the Word of God to live lives of impact on their campuses and communities across Texas.

Anchored to Meeting Needs

“He opened my eyes, and I saw the true meaning of home.” -Kayla
Public Schools
Approximately 95% of our marketing is through presentations in the public school system enabling SWM to impact 12,000 students per year in schools across Texas through a message of hope. This makes SWM one of the only Christ-centered camps directly penetrating our public school systems, which are perhaps the greatest mission field of the 21st century. We have gained access to more than 100 schools in Houston, Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin and the Texas Hill Country impacting approximately 77,000 students over the past 13 years.
Financial Assistance
Approximately 50%+ of our campers are financially assisted each year, making SWC one of the largest scholarship camps in Texas. By offering scholarships on a sliding scale, guardians and parents have personal ownership in their camp experience because they are contributing what they can sacrificially afford. Since finances are not a hindrance to a child attending camp, we are impacting “the least of these,” Christ’s call on the church. Other camps offer about 5%.
Unchurched Youth
Approximately 50% of campers have no church affiliation making SWC one of the largest camps in Texas serving an unbelieving, un-churched population.
Ethnic Diversity
Camper Demographics: 50% Hispanic, 30% Caucasian, 20% African American. We are one of the only camps to combine low, middle and upper-income youth together in the same camp, thus allowing students from different backgrounds to learn from one another.

Still Water measures impact through exposure to the Gospel message of hope and saving life of Jesus Christ, not decisions or responses made, although hundreds of campers have received Christ and made life-changing decisions.
Quality Coaching

Our camps provide quality sport-specific instruction with various middle, high school, and college coaches as our camp trainers. This separates us from most other camps in the country that utilize counselors as their coaches.

Continued Connection
Still Water’s full-time staff works virtually, allowing them to live in the regions we are involved in, thus ministering to our summer staff and campers throughout the year. Still Water goes far beyond a summer camp, as we are committed to walking through life alongside our staff and campers all year, being available to die to self and minister to the least of these on a daily basis. As lives are changed, they reflect this model and begin to pour into others.
Ministry Partnership
SWC has Ministry Partners, other local organizations, in the regions where students are funneled to attend camp and/or plugged back in after camp.
Camper to Staff Ratio

Our Staff: Camper Ratio is 1:3 (one of the best percentages in Texas)
